Minutes:

Correspondence:
MAAS has requested that all Ag Societies complete the information for doing automatic
banking for deposit of government issued cheques.
Old Business:
Might need to purchase new fridge at a cost of approximately $500.00 as Kelly Krushelniski has investigated the cost of two windows sliding windows for the
booth. Would cost approximately $1650 from McMunn and Yates in Brandon. Moved
by Bryan Podworny and seconded by Leanne Treloar that windows be purchased.
The Halloween event that was planned had to be canceled related to the weather.
Meat draw fundraiser at the hotel. Dates will be January 19 th , Feb 28 th and March 28 th. Eva Miller will confirm with the hotel.
Bryan Podworny has applied for the meat raffle through the Manitoba Liquor and
Lotteries and it has been approved. We would start ticket sales Feb1st and make the
draw at the spring social. Tickets will be $20.00 each. Discussion regarding limiting
sales to 500 tickets. Prizes would be ½ a side of beef and ½ a side of pork. Moved by
Bryan Podworny and seconded by those funds be spent to purchase beef and pork.
Cost will be approximately $4000.00, but profit would be about $6000.00
Bryan Podworny has been working on a digital copy of the Fair Book. A committee will
need to be formed to review the same. Suggested having a limited number of paper
copies.
New Business:
Date for Fair this year will be June 12 th & 13 th . Discussion regarding types of events that could be held June 14 th . Also need to consider that volunteers would be needed if there are more activities.
Gail Campbell presented a schedule for the Horse Show see attached. She also suggested getting a Debit Tap for horse show participants. MGRA need rules posted as
well needs to be in Fair Book.
The arenas will need to be dragged, as well ask the Fire Department to water down the
arena after the parade. A water hose should be purchased and stored on the grounds.
Further investigate leasing a tractor from Rocky Mountain Equipment.
Leanne Treloar will start working on a budget, it will be similar to last year. There will have to be funds allotted for miniature horse payouts.
Volunteer appreciation that was held in Oct had approximately 25 people attend. It was
suggested by Kelly Krushelniski that rather than hosting a separate event for volunteers,
that volunteers be given a free drink and food the day of the fair. Further discussion will
need to held.
Discussion regarding moving monthly meetings to a Monday evening, and if a meeting
occurs on a long weekend to Tuesday. Agreement between group that this would
occur.
