About

In the early summer of 1954, a group from Ninette and the surrounding area conceived the idea of for a summer fair.  The first annual meeting took place on November 18, 1954, and the first fair opened soon after on June 24, 1955.  The barns were constructed in 1962, and still stand today.  The site has included pens, stalls, and booths, as well as two riding arenas.

The PLAS continues to bring the annual fair to the area, and is working on community projects that will bring a sense of community pride, feelings of togetherness, and true small town joy to our little area.

Ninette is an unincorporated community recognized as a local urban district located in Manitoba, Canada at the north end of Pelican Lake. It is located in the Rural Municipality of Prairie Lakes. Ninette has many small businesses, and is known locally for its wide range of sports facilities.
