Competitions will start at 8:30 am Saturday June 14.

Events to include halter, western pleasure, reining, poles, barrels, keyhole, flag, & costume

7 events with 3 age groups (12 & under, 13-18, 19 & over)

2 halter classes

MGRA sanctioned

Payouts for top five of each will be $30, $25, $20, $15, & $10

Administration fee: $5/rider. 6 year old and under FREE

Event fee: Flat fee of $25/horse & rider combo, enter as many classes as you like.

NOTE: NO CHARGE FOR COSTUME CLASS if its the only class you enter

It was packed stands for the long going gymkhana at the Ninette Fair, and we expect the same again this year. Always action filled, this is one of the events you MUST check out.

Gymkhana is a series of timed racing events designed to demonstrate controlled movement and teamwork between horse and rider. Often thought of as being for children and young teens only, gymkhana is actually open to riders of all ages and abilities.

Being a collection of timed races, there’s a lot more to gymkhana than just going flat out all of the time. More than speed, gymkhana is all about having fun around horses and a rider’s conduct. This is a fun, family-oriented, adrenaline fuelled sport.

The Light Horse had been a major part of the Ninette Fair since its inception in 1955. We will need help doing it though. PLAS is looking for volunteers to run this part of the 2025 fair.

The Light Horse division is a huge part of the success of the Ninette Fair. It's well known as a relaxed and fun competition that's a great kick off to the summer. This part of the show concentrates on FUN!
